Le rubidium ne se combine pas avec d'autres \u00e9l\u00e9ments ou ions pour cr\u00e9er des min\u00e9raux.<\/p>\n<p>Comme les autres m\u00e9taux alcalins, le rubidium r\u00e9agit violemment \u00e0 l'air et \u00e0 l'eau. Lorsqu'il est expos\u00e9 \u00e0 l'air, il s'enflamme et explose lorsqu'il est plong\u00e9 dans l'eau. Son point de fusion est si bas (103 degr\u00e9s F, 40 degr\u00e9s C) qu'il fond par temps tr\u00e8s chaud.<\/p>\n<p>Un isotope du rubidium est radioactif. Comme il est impossible de s\u00e9parer cet isotope du rubidium non radioactif, la quasi-totalit\u00e9 du rubidium trait\u00e9 est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement radioactif.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div id=\"ultimate-heading-10656a5e50650f333\" class=\"uvc-heading ult-adjust-bottom-margin ultimate-heading-10656a5e50650f333 uvc-1035\" data-hspacer=\"no_spacer\"  data-halign=\"left\" style=\"text-align:left\"><div class=\"uvc-heading-spacer no_spacer\" style=\"top\"><\/div><div class=\"uvc-main-heading ult-responsive\"  data-ultimate-target='.uvc-heading.ultimate-heading-10656a5e50650f333 h2'  data-responsive-json-new='{\"font-size\":\"\",\"line-height\":\"\"}' ><h2 style=\"font-weight:bold;color:#1e73be;\">Relation avec l'exploitation mini\u00e8re<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>On le trouve cependant \u00e0 l'\u00e9tat de traces dans les min\u00e9raux qui contiennent des quantit\u00e9s essentielles d'autres m\u00e9taux alcalins, notamment les z\u00e9olites riches en c\u00e9sium et en potassium, la pollucite et la leucite, et le mica riche en lithium, le zinnwaldite (une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 du min\u00e9ral lepidolite).<\/p>\n<p>Ces deux min\u00e9raux sont typiques d'un d\u00e9p\u00f4t ign\u00e9 particulier appel\u00e9 pegmatite. Il est \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 dans des \u00e9tudes de laboratoire.
