Mineral arsenik yang paling umum adalah arsenopirit, senyawa besi, arsenik, dan sulfur. Sebagian besar digunakan untuk memadukan (mencampur) arsenik dengan timbal, tembaga, atau logam lain untuk penggunaan tertentu. Sebagai logam, arsenik adalah semikonduktor, seperti silikon. Ini berarti ia menghantarkan listrik seperti logam, tetapi tidak semua listrik yang dihantarkan oleh konduktor sejati seperti tembaga. Akibatnya, sekitar 1\/10 % arsenik dikonsumsi dalam pembuatan semikonduktor galium arsenida untuk digunakan dalam elektronik. Penggunaan ini telah hilang sama sekali di sebagian besar negara, karena sifat senyawa arsenik yang beracun.
