Lepidolit dan spodumene adalah mineral umum lainnya yang mengandung litium. Jumlah komersial dari ketiga mineral ini ada dalam deposit batuan beku khusus yang oleh para ahli geologi disebut pegmatit. Lebih dari 50% lithium yang ditambang digunakan dalam baterai.
