Ini adalah logam transisi yang berkilau dengan warna perak, kepadatan rendah, dan kekuatan tinggi. Titanium tahan terhadap korosi dalam air laut, aqua regia, dan klorin.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<h3>Hubungan dengan Pertambangan<\/h3>\n<p>Titanium adalah elemen paling melimpah kesembilan di kerak bumi (0,63% berdasarkan massa) dan logam paling melimpah ketujuh. Unsur ini hadir sebagai oksida dalam sebagian besar batuan beku, dalam sedimen yang berasal dari batuan tersebut, dalam makhluk hidup, dan dalam badan air alami. Dari 801 jenis batuan beku yang dianalisis oleh Survei Geologi Amerika Serikat, 784 di antaranya mengandung titanium. Proporsi kandungannya dalam tanah sekitar 0,5 hingga 1,5%.<\/p>\n<p>Mineral yang mengandung titanium yang umum adalah anatase, brookite, ilmenite, perovskite, rutile, dan titanite (sphene). Akaogiite adalah mineral yang sangat langka yang terdiri dari titanium dioksida. Dari mineral-mineral ini, hanya rutil dan ilmenit yang memiliki nilai ekonomis, namun keduanya sulit ditemukan dalam konsentrasi tinggi. Sekitar 6,0 dan 0,7 juta ton mineral tersebut ditambang pada tahun 2011. Deposit ilmenit yang mengandung titanium yang signifikan terdapat di Australia barat, Kanada, Cina, India, Mozambik, Selandia Baru, Norwegia, Sierra Leone, Afrika Selatan, dan Ukraina. Sekitar 186.000 ton spons logam titanium diproduksi pada tahun 2011, sebagian besar di Cina (60.000 t), Jepang (56.000 t), Rusia (40.000 t), Amerika Serikat (32.000 t), dan Kazakhstan (20.700 t). Setelah dihancurkan, tambang titanium akan dikirim ke pemisah magnetik, kemudian ke saluran spiral untuk pemisahan lebih lanjut. Kemudian pemisahan flotasi untuk perincian yang lebih tinggi.<\/p>\n<h3>Proses Magnetik &amp; Flotasi<\/h3>\n<p>Untuk menghemat biaya pemisahan flotasi, pemisahan magnetik akan digunakan pada langkah pertama, tambang titanium dengan granularitas halus akan dikirim ke pemisahan flotasi. Metode ini sebagian besar dapat mengurangi jumlah penggunaan reagen flotasi dan dapat dengan mudah dioperasikan.<\/p>\n<h3>Klasifikasi Manfaat Bersama<\/h3>\n<p>Setelah klasifikasi, butiran tambang titanium yang memenuhi syarat dapat dikirim ke pemisahan gravitasi untuk mendapatkan konsentrat titanium.
