O restante prov\u00e9m da R\u00fassia, da \u00c1frica do Sul, do Tajiquist\u00e3o, da Bol\u00edvia e de alguns outros pa\u00edses, incluindo os Estados Unidos. Esta subst\u00e2ncia \u00e9 exigida pela legisla\u00e7\u00e3o federal para determinadas pe\u00e7as de vestu\u00e1rio para crian\u00e7as. Mais de metade do consumo anual de antim\u00f3nio nos EUA destina-se ao fabrico de retardadores de chama.<\/p>\n<p>Uma parte do consumo nos EUA \u00e9 de ligas de antim\u00f3nio. O antim\u00f3nio \u00e9 misturado (ou seja, ligado) com outros metais, como o chumbo, para tornar o chumbo mais duro e mais forte para utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o em baterias de chumbo-\u00e1cido.
