【Working Principle of the High-Temperature and High-Pressure Desorption Electrolysis System】
The workflow is clearly divided into two core stages—desorption and electrolysis.
1. Desorption process: Pre-treated gold-loaded carbon is loaded into a desorption column (or tower), and a specific solvent (such as an eco-friendly, cyanide-free desorption solution) is introduced. Upon heating, the solvent vaporizes; under the combined action of high temperature and high pressure, the adsorption bonds between the gold-cyanide complexes and the activated carbon are effectively broken—or an anion exchange reaction occurs—causing the gold to enter the solution in ionic form and creating a gold-rich "pregnant solution."
2. Electrolysis process: The pregnant solution resulting from desorption is transported to a separate electrolytic cell (electrowinning cell). Under the influence of a direct current (DC) electric field, gold ions in the solution migrate toward the cathode, where they are reduced to elemental gold and deposited as gold sludge, thereby recovering the gold. The entire process is managed via an intelligent control system that provides precise closed-loop control over parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and electric current.
