What Does Mia Say?

In 2024, JXSC successfully manufactured and delivered a specialized 40-ton-per-hour chrome processing plant to Zimbabwe, completing installation within the same year. The designed system demonstrates exceptional performance in processing fine chrome concentrates (predominantly 0-2mm) without sticky clay, consistently achieving target throughput while maintaining concentrate grades above 45%.

40 TPH Chrome Process Plant in Zimbabwe

    1. Project Overview

This project is located in Zimbabué. The client is a local mining company, focusing on small-scale Chrome mining. They required a reliable and easy-to-operate chrome processing solution.

    2. Raw Ore Information

The raw ore chrome has a maximum feed size of 50 mm. The concentrate particles are mainly fine, without sticky clay.

    3. Processing Capacity Requirement

The client required a processing capacity of 40 tons per hour, with the possibility to upgrade to 50TPH or 60TPH in the future.

    4. Our Process Design & Solution

    Process Flowchart

    Process Description

    • Loader or Excavator feed raw ore into the ecrã trommel. A trommel screen is used to wash off clay from ore and screen out particles of different sizes.
    • The overscreen materials from the trommel are transported to a distant location by belt conveyor, which is considered waste sand.
    • Underscreen materials of the trommel are sent to the calha em espiral by a slurry pump.
    • The first group tailings from the spiral chute will be sent to the second group of spiral chutes for recovering more chrome.
    • Concentrates of the spiral chute will go to the magnetic separator to recover as much chrome as possible.

    Main Equipment List

    • Peneira giratória
    • Calha em espiral
    • Pumps & Slurry Pump
    • Diesel Generator & Control Panel

    5. This Processing Plant Application

    • Ideal Applications

      (1) Small to medium-scale gold mining projects

      (2) Alluvial chrome without sticky clay

      (3) Capacity from 50-100TPH

    • Not Recommended For

      (1) Rock ore

      (2) Materials with  sticky clay

      (3) Very large-scale industrial plants

    6. Customer Questions & Our Answers

① How many % can be achieved after treatment?
This depends on the grade of the customer’s raw ore; generally, after processing with our equipment, the grade can reach over 45%.

② Why use a trommel screen, not use a trommel scrubber or washing?
We determine whether to use a trommel scrubber machine or a trommel screen based on the customer’s mining site conditions. Trommel screen is very good for washing materials without sticky clay, and trommel scrubber is very good for washing materials with sticky clay. In this customer’s case, the material at their mining site is very easy to clean.

③ Why use the spiral chute instead of the jig separator?
Generally, spiral chutes are suitable for recovering chrome concentrate in the 0-2mm size range, while jigging machines are suitable for recovering chrome concentrate containing larger particles.
This customer’s chrome concentrate is basically below 0-2mm, so using a spiral chute is more suitable and can recover as much chrome concentrate as possible.

④ Can you provide the equipment drawings?
Once we receive your deposit payment, our engineer will design the detailed plant layout drawing, foundation drawing for you, and also each main machine’s drawing & machine operation manual.
All the technical support will be provided to assist with the installation.

⑤ Do your products have CE or ISO certificates?
Yes, all the equipment in this order has CE certificates and ISO certificates.

⑥ If we need an engineer, how many days do we need and how much?
If the buyer needs JXSC to send an engineer to the mine site for installation & commissioning guidance, need the following extra cost:
    1) The engineer’s salary is about $150/day/person; installation time depends on the customer’s mine site preparation conditions.
    2) Round-trip ticket cost
    3) Visa application cost
    4) Any other potential cost before or after the installation period, such as hotel costs, waiting for a flight, etc.
    5) Arrange food
Generally, it takes 1-2 months, and we recommend sending two engineers.

⑦ If we place an order with your company, how many days would the production cycle take?
Generally, our production time is 25-30 days.
However, if there are holidays, such as National Day or Chinese New Year, the production time will need to be extended accordingly.
