The SFM-8 automatic desktop grinder features a 5-inch agate mortar with an adjustable pestle, and the mortar can be taken off easily for cleaning. It can be used under Ar gas in a glovebox. Minimum granularity can be as small as microns, even nanometers. It is an excellent tool for preparing various ceramic materials in a research lab.

A stationary scraper continuously redirects material from the mortar's rim into the grinding zone, preventing buildup and ensuring every particle receives equal processing for uniform size distribution.
