Gold Ore Types Existing in Nature

In nature, gold ore can exist in sand or alluvial raw material; this kind of gold ore is called sand gold, placer, or alluvial gold ore. The raw material is with stone, sand, gravel, soil, sticky clay, sometimes with magnetic iron and other minerals. The gold ore mine site is possible near a river, on land, in the mountains, or in the bushes, etc. The gold concentrate is visible by eye; the size can be a big nugget +2 mm, or gold sand -1 mm.

The other type of gold ore is hard rock gold ore; the gold exists in hard rock, such as normal stone, quartz vein above the land, or the rock gold underground. The rock gold ore can be Oxidized ore and Sulfide ore. Those two different type gold ore processing method is different.

How to Find the Mine Position of Gold Ore?

  • Aluvial gold: using the gold panning pan and sluice box, this method is mostly used by small miners.
  • Rock gold: Mixing with mercury after crushing & grinding to a small size, then refining the gold from gold amalgamation material by distillation.

1. Alluvial Gold Ore Processing Plant

Feeding -> Washing -> Sieving-> Primary Separation -> Final Concentration -> Refining

Alimentation : There are several kinds of feeding methods, depending on plant and material conditions, and can be a vibration feeding machine, feeding hopper, belt feeder, wheel loader, or excavator feed directly. Usually will make a grizzly bar on vibration feeder or hopper to remove big waste stones first.

Lavage : It is used to wash and clean clay and mud in raw materials; the most commonly used are laveur de trommel pour l'or et crible à trommel. Trommel scrubber washing machine is for washing raw material that with many sticky clay; trommel screen is for washing raw material that does not have much sticky clay.

Tamisage : After washing, then sieve out some bigger waste stones,the under screen slurry will go to next separation machine. This sieving process can use a trommel screen, a vibration screen, or a high-frequency vibration screen.

Primary Concentration: It is for the primary gold concentration process; gold centrifugal concentrator and jig separator are the best choice. The concentrate ore discharged from them will send to final concentration machine.

Concentration finale : The concentrate ore from the gold jig machine or gold centrifugal concentrator will go to a gold shaking table concentration machine for final concentration, which can get high-purity gold.

Tailing Recovery: Usually, gold sluice box recovery tailings that are discharged from the gold centrifugal machine. So can get more gold.

Raffinage : If you need very high-purity gold and need to smelt to a gold bar for sale, then you can use a gold induction smelting furnace to smelt gold dust into a gold bar. Then can sell it.

2. Rock Gold Ore Processing Plant

Feeding -> Crushing -> Grinding -> Primary Separation -> Final Concentration-> Upgrading 

Les feeding way, primary separation, final concentration, et processus d'affinage de l'or are almost the same as the above alluvial gold ore processing plant.

Below are the crushing and grinding stage descriptions for a rock gold ore processing plant:

Broyage : Crushing the big rock gold stone to a smaller size before grinding.
