Fabrication de sable is the process of producing artificial sand (also called manufactured sand or M-sand) by crushing rocks, stones, or gravel into fine, granular particles with the desired shape and size. Unlike natural river sand, which is formed by erosion, artificial sand is engineered for better quality and consistency.

Sand Making Plant

A sand-making plant is a facility designed to crush raw materials (like granit, basalte, calcaireou galets) and convert them into high-quality artificial sand through a series of mechanical processes.

Key Processes in a Sand Making Plant

  • Alimentation : Raw materials are loaded into the plant via a vibrating feeder.
  • Crushing (Primary & Secondary): Jaw, cone, or concasseurs à percussion break down large rocks into smaller pieces.
  • Sand Making (Key Stage): A Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) crusher (sand maker) further crushes and shapes stones into fine, graded sand.
  • Dépistage : Vibrating screens separate sand into different sizes (e.g., 0-5mm, 5-10mm).
  • Washing (Optional): Removes dust and impurities, producing cleaner sand for high-end applications.
  • Conveying & Storage: The Final product is transported and stored for use.

This setup is a 60- 80tph sand-making plant. It is configured with a vibrating feeder, cone crusher, VSI sand maker, electromagnetic vibrating feeder, vibrating screen, spiral sand washer, wheel sand washer, fine sand recycle machine, slurry pump, iron remover, et conveyor belts.

The processing steps are as follows:

  1. The truck loads the 0-180mm material (after the primary jaw crusher has already crushed) into the hopper of the vibrating feeder. The feeder will feed the material to the cone crusher to crush till 0-35mm by conveyor.  There is an iron remover above the belt to remove the iron.
  2. The output of the concasseur à cône will be sent to one vibrating screen with 5mm and 35mm mesh.  The over 35mm material will be sent back to the cone crusher for crushing again.
  3. The 5-35mm material will be sent to middle silo with an alimentateur vibrant électromagnétique. And then the electromagnetic vibrating feeder will feed the material to a VSI sand maker to crush it till 0-5mm.  The output shares the same conveyor belt as the cone crusher output.
  4. The 0-5mm material will flow through two stages of spiral sand washer to wash and then to another wheel sand washer to wash again.
  5. After 3 stages of sand washing, the sand washer bucket will feed the sand concentrate to the fine sand recycle machine for dewatering. And overflow of the sand washers will flow to one pool, and then it will be pumped to the cyclone to dewater. The underflow of the cyclone will flow to the dewater screen to be dewatered. The overflow of the cyclone will flow to a sedimentation tank.
  6. After the fine sand recycling machine dewatering, it will be transferred to a sand pile for sale.
