They have the engineering team to set up this plant, so there is no requirement for our engineer’s site service. We provided detailed process layout designs and foundation construction drawings for this project, and supplied all the mining equipment required for the plant.

Client’s Mine Situation

1. The client required a processing capacity of 200tph, with the possibility to upgrade to 300-350 tph in the future.
2. Maximum feeding size: 300 mm
3. Ore type: Gemstone
4. Mineral ore information: The Gemstone particles 4-10 mm,10-20 mm, and 20-80 mm, with sticky clay.

Flowchart Detailed Explanation

  1. A loader feeds the raw gemstone ore into a hopper equipped with grizzly bars spaced 300 mm apart, which are used to remove large pieces of waste rock larger than 300 mm.
  2. A vibrating feeder conveys the raw gemstone ore smaller than 300 mm to the vibrating screen.
  3. The vibrating screen is equipped with spray nozzles to simultaneously wash and screen the material. Material screened out with a particle size greater than 80 mm is sent to the stockpile area; material with a particle size between 4 and 80 mm is conveyed by a belt conveyor to the log washer; and material smaller than 4 mm flows by gravity into the sluice boxes.
  4. For the 0-4 mm size fraction containing small amounts of gold, we use the sluice boxes for recovery.
  5. Material with a particle size of 4 to 80 mm is washed in the first log washer and then fed into the second log washer; the product from the second ore washer is subsequently sent to the vibrating screen for screening.
  6. After screening by the vibrating screen, three product specifications are ultimately obtained: 4–10 mm, 10–20 mm, and 20–80 mm.

Customer Questions & Our Answers

① Why use the log washer?
Intensive scrubbing: Raw gemstones are typically encased in highly viscous red soil, clay, or argillaceous rock.
Twin-shaft agitation: The machine employs wear-resistant paddles mounted on twin spiral shafts to vigorously agitate and knead the material.
Clay disintegration: This mechanical action rapidly breaks up clay clumps, ensuring the complete separation of the gemstones from the surrounding mud and sand.

② Why use the sluice box after the vibrating screen?
The client says there is gold inside the gemstone and wants to recover as much of it as possible.

③ Why use a vibrating feeder?
Uniform Feeding: Through high-frequency vibration, the vibrating feeder delivers accumulated material into the vibrating screen evenly, continuously, and at a controlled rate, ensuring that downstream equipment consistently operates at optimal load.

④ Why use 2 sets of log washers?
Tenacious Clay Layers: Gemstones (such as rubies, sapphires, and rough jade) are often embedded in deep-seated red soil or highly cohesive nodular deposits; the clay adhering to their surfaces has been compacted over millions of years, making it extremely stubborn.
A Two-Stage Process—Primary Breaking and Secondary Cleaning: The primary washer’s main task is to break up clay clumps and soften the clay through soaking; the secondary washer then performs precision stripping and vigorous scrubbing to ensure the gemstones are clearly visible and completely free of any obscuring clay residue.

⑤ Do your products have CE or ISO certificates?
Yes, all the equipment in this order has CE certificates and ISO certificates.
