Twin Screw Feeder

The twin screw feeder is also called double screw feeder, twin/double screw conveyor, or double spiral feeder. It is a conveying equipment. In addition to conveying materials, the twin screw feeder also has the functions of mixing, stirring, and pushing materials. It is suitable for conveying materials with poor fluidity, large volume, or large particles that need to be stirred. 

Twin Screw Feeder Types
The twin screw feeder is divided into two types: twin shaft and twin shaftless screw feeders.

• Twin shaft screw feeder: It can transport powdery and granular materials, such as flour, soybeans, coal powder, etc., but it is not easy to transport materials with high moisture content, paste-like, and ribbon-like materials. It is mainly suitable for cement, coal, stone, and other granular or powdery materials that are not sticky and will not stick to the inner center shaft of the screw conveyor.
• Twin shaftless screw feeder: It can transport paste/paste, semi-fluid/viscous materials that are easy to tangle and clog, such as clay, sawdust, domestic garbage, sludge, etc. It is mainly used for materials with strong adhesion in conveying stations in industries such as environmental protection, papermaking, chemical industry, food, medicine, beverage, etc., paste-like viscous materials (such as chemical raw materials, waste paper pulp, malt, sludge, etc.) and In industries that are easy to wind up (such as domestic waste), the main reason is that the shaftless screw conveyor has the characteristics of anti-winding and anti-winding.

Features

• Dual-axis design, large output
  The two screws rotate through a pair of gears at the extended position of the shaft. The double-shaft blades have a larger conveying flow rate per unit time than the single-shaft blades. According to test data, the double-screw feeder’s conveying capacity is 1.5-2 times that of the single-screw feeder. 
• Not easy to accumulate and block
  The two seamless steel pipes are equipped with solid screws respectively, and the screw shafts on both sides turn in different directions to avoid material blocking caused by material accumulation. 
• Low cost
  The twin-screw feeder increases the mixing speed when working, which is equivalent to the mixer mixing materials simultaneously, but the price is lower than the mixer, saving costs.
• Long service life
  Adopting a variable-diameter structure increases the volume of the suspension bearing and prevents friction between the suspension bearing and the material. The service life can reach more than two years. 
• Good sealing
  All bearings use multi-layer sealing boxes as material seals, so materials will not spill out or be contaminated by other dust.

The twin screw feeder is mainly used in industries that transport powdery and small-diameter particles. It is generally used for the horizontal conveying of materials and is suitable for feeding under the silo. It is widely used in metallurgical building materials, the chemical industry, food machinery, the processing industry, etc.
