Advantages
The XCSQ-50×70 wet strong magnetic separator is used by scientific research and experimental units of metallurgy, geology, building materials, chemical industry, light industry, and other departments for the experimental study of sorting medium to weak magnetic minerals, and also for the inspection and control of production technical indicators and improvement of technological processes in relevant factories and mines.
The XCSQ-50×70 wet strong magnetic separator mainly has a magnetic system, feeding, flushing, and collection, and electrical and program control.
1. Magnetic system
- Iron core: Five pieces of DT3 electric pure iron are assembled into a U-shaped magnetic circuit, and the cross-section size of the iron core is 130x220mm.
- Excitation winding: A double glass fiber-coated flat copper wire is used to make a magnetizing winding. Eight coils are arranged in series on both sides of the sorting area, and a fan is provided to cool the winding.
- Sorting box: It is composed of five DT3 pure iron tooth plates and two aluminum baffles. There are two sets of sorting boxes with a separation gap of 1.5 and 3 mm, which can be replaced as needed. (There is also an optional configuration for a high gradient sorting box)
2. Feeding, flushing & collecting
A mixing barrel is installed on the upper part of the sorting box, and its effective volume is 4 liters. At the bottom of the mixing barrel, there is a pipe-type feeding valve. The three ports at the outlet of the feeding valve are connected to the water inlet pipe and the copper flat nozzle through a rubber tube. The nozzle is driven by the motor to move back and forth, and the beneficiation slurry enters the sorting box evenly from the mixing tank through the feeding valve and the flat nozzle.
The middle ore washing water and the concentrate washing water enter the sorting box from the solenoid valve and gate valve through the three-way pipe and flat nozzle respectively, and the water amount is regulated through the gate valve.
The sorted product is discharged from the sorting box and flows into the designated ore receiving bucket through the sorting bucket. Points ore bucket and eccentric connecting rod mechanism driven by synchronous motor swinging, under the control of the program controller, motor drive the points ore bucket is placed to a pick up the upper barrel, the control program is: magnetization — feed ore — medium ore flusher — breaking magnetic — concentrate flusher — feed ore — medium ore flusher — breaking magnetic — concentrate flusher repeatedly circulates, realizing the separation and receiving of “tailings”, “medium ore” and “concentrate” products.
3. Electrical &program control
The single-phase bridge rectifier is used for the magnetizing current, and the SSR voltage regulation module is used to adjust the magnetizing current.
The program controller using a programmable logic controller (PLC module) is the core component of controlling each action. The entire operation program has been written into the PLC machine. In actual operation, the user only needs to change the “feed” time and the “medium” and “concentrate” flushing time respectively at the specified time relay according to the requirements of the ore dressing process.
Due to the certain characteristics of wire wrap and iron core, the magnetic charging time of this machine has been solidified in PLC machine, and the magnetic charging time is 10S and 15S respectively.

The selection process is as follows: Stirring barrels in pulp by feed valve and flat nose into sorting box, non-magnetic mineral grains under the action of gravity along the tooth plate gap in a VAT of tailings, magnetic mineral grains under the action of magnetic field, adsorption on the tooth plate, feedback the ore bucket of middlings was set to the upper barrel, realized the water solenoid valve open, (flow of middlings was adjustable flush valve), flush the non-magnetic mineral grains in the sorting box, and then points to concentrate ore dou pendulum upper barrel, the magnetization power cut off at the same time, after waiting for sorting box field vanishes, concentrate water electromagnetic valve opens, the adsorption of magnetic particles into concentrate on tooth plate inside the barrel (flush by concentrate gate valve adjustment), complete a cycle, PLC reset the next time, and then select the cycle. The purpose of separating magnetic ore from non-magnetic ore is achieved.
