The working principle of a Lab XRF Hydraulic Pellet Press Machine involves the preparation of powdered samples for X-ray fluorescence analysis by compressing them into a dense, uniform pellet. To begin, the user places the sample powder into a mold or die within the pressing chamber. Once the sample is loaded, the machine activates a hydraulic system that generates high pressure through a hydraulic pump, causing a piston to move down and apply force on the powder. This compression binds the particles together, creating a solid pellet. After the pressing cycle is complete, the piston retracts, and the die may automatically open to release the pellet, allowing for easy removal. This process ensures that the resultant pellets are homogeneous and consistently compact, which is crucial for obtaining accurate and reproducible results during XRF analysis.
