The 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump is a basic device used to extract gas from a sealed container to obtain a vacuum. It can act alone or as a fore-stage pump and pre-pump for various vacuum systems. It is widely used in the medical, scientific research, chemical, laboratory, plastic, and electronic industries, as well as in the manufacture of electric vacuum devices, light bulbs, thermos bottles, vacuum welding, instrumentation and refrigeration equipment, and printing and packaging machinery.
The working environment of the 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump: long-term continuous operation is allowed under the conditions of temperature range of 5℃-40℃, relative humidity not exceeding 90%, and air inlet pressure less than 1333Pa. When the relative humidity of the pumped gas is greater than 90%, the gas ballast valve should be opened.
The air inlet of the 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump is continuously open to the atmosphere for operation for no more than three minutes. This pump is not suitable for extracting gases that are corrosive to metals, react chemically to pump oil, contain particulate dust, have excessively high oxygen content, and are explosive. The 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump shall not be used as a compression pump or a delivery pump.
The 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump has the advantages of small size, lightweight, low noise, and easy to start. In addition, there are measures to prevent oil return (2XZ-8) and measures to prevent oil seal leakage from polluting the site.
2XZ Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Features

- No oil return when the pump is stopped: There will be no oil return after the pump is stopped, which can effectively prevent the pumped pipeline and container from being contaminated.
- Oil mist filter device: A special oil mist filter device is equipped to eliminate exhaust oil mist pollution, without oil spraying or oil leakage.
2XZ Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Operation Instructions
- Check the oil level and fill it to the center of the oil mark when the pump is stopped. If it is too low, the exhaust valve cannot be sealed and the vacuum degree will be affected. If it is too high, it may cause oil spraying when starting with air. During operation, the oil level rises, which is a normal phenomenon. The oil should be clean vacuum pump oil of the specified brand and added from the refueling hole. After refueling, the screw plug should be screwed on. The oil should be filtered to prevent debris from entering the 2XZ Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump and clogging the oil hole.
- The 2XZ Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump can be started once with air or any vacuum degree. If the pump port is equipped with a vacuum valve, it should act simultaneously with the 2XZ vacuum pump.
- When the ambient temperature is too high, the oil temperature rises, the viscosity decreases, and the saturated vapor pressure increases, which will cause the limit vacuum of the 2XZ Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump to decrease, especially the total pressure measured by the thermocouple. If ventilation and heat dissipation are strengthened, or the performance of pump oil is improved, the ultimate vacuum can be improved.
- Check the ultimate vacuum of the 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump with a compressed mercury vacuum gauge. If the gauge is fully pre-pumped and calibrated, the pump temperature reaches a stable state, and the pump port is directly connected to the gauge, the ultimate vacuum will be reached within 30 minutes of operation. The value measured by the total pressure gauge is related to the pump oil, vacuum gauge, and regulation errors. Sometimes the error can be very large and can only be used as a reference.
- If the relative humidity is high, or the pumped gas contains more condensable vapor, it is advisable to open the gas ballast valve after connecting to the pumped container and close the gas ballast valve after running for 20 to 40 minutes. Before stopping the pump, the gas ballast valve can be opened for 30 minutes of no-load movement to extend the oil life of the 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump.
- Selection of oil for 2XZ rotary vane vacuum pump: The viscosity of the pump oil affects the starting power and the ultimate vacuum of the pump. When the viscosity is high, it is beneficial to the vacuum degree, and the starting power is larger. The saturated vapor pressure of the oil at the pump temperature will affect the ultimate total pressure of the pump. The lower the better. The viscosity of high-speed vacuum pump oil and 3# diffusion pump oil is greater than that of No. 1 vacuum pump oil, and the saturated vapor pressure is lower than that of No. 1 vacuum pump oil, but the price of 3# diffusion pump oil is higher. The specific oil to be selected can be selected according to the above introduction and the specific use requirements.
(1) In general, small pumps below 4 liters/second can also be replaced by No. 1 vacuum oil pumps, and direct-connected pumps above 8 liters/second can be replaced by 3# diffusion pump oil.
(2) If the vacuum degree requirement is not high, the oil is frequently replaced due to contamination, and the vacuum pump oil supply is difficult, No. 50 mechanical oil can be used instead.
(3) If the ambient temperature is low, starting is difficult, and the ultimate vacuum requirement is not high, vacuum pump oil or mechanical oil with a slightly lower viscosity than the above can be used.
