XCSQ-50×70 Lab Wet Strong Magnetic Separator User Manual

The XCSQ-50×70 wet magnetic separator is applicable in scientific research, teaching, and comprehensive utilization and assessment of mineral resources and for the separation of hematite. The iron content for the tested samples can be obtained merely with minimal test samples. The product is produced by the only enterprise designated by the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, in compliance with the Industrial standards.

The laboratory wet strong-intensity magnetic separator XCSQ-50×70 is provided for labs of metallurgical, geological, building material, light, and other industries to carry out separation tests of moderate and weak-intensity magnetic minerals and also for the relevant factories and mines to check and control production and technical indexes, improving the technological process. Following we will introduce the machine’s user manual, including the operation, installation and maintenance.

XCSQ-50×70 Main Operation Method

Switch function of the panel

• “Power start” and “Power stop” switch buttons of the whole machine.
• “Magnetizing current regulation” and magnetizing current value regulation.
• Mixing speed regulation” and speed regulation of stirring motor.
• “Mode conversion” run/pause Settings. (Operation – continuous cycle operation, pause – after the slurry separation of the mixing drum, the ore valve is usually opened to flush the mixing drum).
• “PLC start” press this button for PLC operation.
• “feed timing”, “medium flushing timing” and concentrate 8flushing timing” shall be set respectively for ore feeding time, medium ore flushing time, and concentrated ore flushing time.
• The indicator light indicates the running state of PLC.

Operation Instructions

Test commissioning: First, set the “Magnetizing Current regulation” and “agitating speed regulation” to zero and the “mode conversion” to the “operation” state.

• Power on and the red power indicator light on;
• Press the “Power start” button and automatically reset each operation of the magnetic separator;
• Adjust the “magnetizing current adjustment” knob to set the magnetizing current value;
• Fill the slurry tank with an appropriate amount of water and adjust the stirring motor to an appropriate speed;
• Set the flushing time for feeding, medium ore flushing and concentrate flushing;
• Press the “PLC start” button and the machine will run in a cycle according to the set time. During the trial operation, observe whether the ore feeding amount, the flushing amount of medium ore and the flushing amount of concentrate meet the requirements of separation technology. (Adjust the flushing time of feed, medium flushing and concentrate flushing respectively) After the trial operation, reset the magnetizing current and stirring motor, and disconnect the power by pressing the “Power stop” button.

Select operation Set “Mode transition” to “Run” state. Press the “Power start” button and the power is switched on. Feed the appropriate slurry into the slurry tank and adjust the speed of the stirring motor to be moderate. (Slurry concentration is generally 5 ~ 40%) Adjust the “magnetizing current adjustment” knob to set the current value of the selection. (According to the relationship curve between magnetic field intensity and magnetizing current as shown in the attached figure). Press the “PLC start” button, and the magnetic separator will run automatically under the control of PLC by the above test run setting. Clean the slurry tank and stop the “mode transition”. When the PLC is running to the feed state, the feed valve should be normally opened and the slurry tank should be washed clean with clear water. Then the “mode transition” should be set to the running state and run for one cycle. Adjust the magnetizing current and stirring speed to zero, turn off the power supply and water inlet valve, take out the sorting box, and rinse off the residual mineral particles in the tooth plate.
